I’m now back and quite relieved to see that Beneath the Neon Lights didn’t suffer a taxpayer-funded Callow-fuelled legal bulldozing. I must admit I was surprised to hear that it suddenly disappeared without a “goodbye” message of any kind – particularly when popularity was snowballing – but all’s well that ends well, aside from my favourite site not being there any more :’( I am assuming that Mr Hayek has backed his site up and could revive it at a moment’s notice anyway!

I don’t intend to be a NQH replacement nor will I be able to post several new, local things per day with sufficient research to make them anything other than complete bollocks so if any of you have any phoenix from the flames type blogs on the go or sites that you think relate to stuff I rant about (that you are planning to update), please feel free to either link them on here or email me the URLs (phil at this site) and I’m happy to link them on the menu at the side.

Apologies if the site is running slow or you need to refresh it to make it appear from time to time – since BtNL went offline the traffic here has multiplied several fold and the mice in the server might get a bit overworked. I’m assuming it’ll calm down in due course.

As a final question, looking through the stats on here many people are finding this site by searching “herbert shooler blog” and I’m dying to read it… so where is it?
