I’ve just seen an interview on TV with Sheryl Gasgoigne who is, for those that haven’t seen her attention seeking in the papers, former wife of England hero and alcoholic nutter Paul Gascoigne.
If anyone defined the phrase “gold digger” it is Sheryl. She lets Gazza beat her up for 2 years before going for the main chance – the millions in divorce settlement and the Z-list celebdom that gives appearances on GMTV and This Morning. Then she spends the rest of her life milking her surname for all it’s worth. She’s obviously not that good, though, given that she divorced him nine years ago and she is still publically dragging him through the dirt.
Today she is publicising a book with yet more stories about herself getting beaten up by him when he was drunk. Her motive is apparently to energise women into taking action if they are being beaten up rather than sitting there doing nothing. The difference is, I suspect, that Sheryl had a motivation to hang around because it added zeroes to her divorce payout whereas most women that are victims of abusive partners/husbands don’t have that golden parachute to look forward to.
According to the News of the World, Gazza “forced” her to have sex with him 10 times a day, however Sheryl refuses to call it rape. Which is it, love? He either forced you or he didn’t. Needless to say, she now implies that it was rape because it’ll sell her a few more copies of her book.
She also implies that her son, Mason, is addicted to coke because of Gazza. But again, she never said anything about it until she wrote her book. Boo hoo!
This book is nothing more than Sheryl trying to increase her minor celebrity by selling stories about someone more famous than her. The whole charade reminds me of the Heather Mills thing with Sir Paul McCartney. Both professional victims trying to make money and become famous off the back of a hero.

She should get off her arse and work for her money and stop chucking mud, as for blaming Gazza for their son being a coke head, she will be blaming him for the shitty weather next.
