I believe that the failure of Ron Bell to get elected can be firmly laid at the door of Peter Callow, due to his handling of the “MOSSGATE” we have lost what would have been an excellent M.P. for Blackpool ...

Lol, that's very true he is well known the local judicary. I remember when the Gasjet ran a ridiculous article when Hamish first started this silly campaign saying he wants to be tried in a different court for fears he won't get a 'fair trial'. As far as Hamish is concerned no trial is fair unless he wins. I think District Judge Peter Ward is a great guy, proper old-fashioned tough as old boots no nonsense judge and gave Hamish wise words he chose to ignore 'This is a silly, pointless and misguided campaign' a favourite quote of mine.

This Fred character interests me. He seems to be the man behind everything bad going on with UKIP just now.

Spot on skeet, the Gazette is always making these ridiculous points about Hamish claiming he is a Mensa member and he is going to be a barrister, yeah right. Becoming a barrister is one of the most competitive and expensive professions in the country. I considered at one time but after the massive amount of money you have to pay for your law degree then your Bar training course you still have to secure a pupilage (apprenticeship) and there is roughly 300 places each year with about 4000 applicants. Just think most of these are some of Britain's brightest graduates so what chance does Hamish have. The guy certainly doesn't act like a man with a high IQ.

If Hamish shows his face I’ll show my arse, I don’t know anybody yet who has actually met this muppet. I think he suffers from a bad case of stage fright. My bets on Fred Mc Glade because he knows that Hamish doesn’t have enough grey matter to be able to answer any questions without dropping himself in the shit. Better still ask Fred about the Irish problems of days gone by, then watch his face go red just before he spit’s the dummy out.

Just wrote a long comment but lost it because I forgot to enter my name!!!!!!

But the gist of it was I would love to quiz Hamish with some really awkward tough questions, ones that seem simple at a glance but to a nobody with no proper policies like him would leave him stumped. Like; What are your policies? (other than your silly, pointless and misguided campaign) What does UKIP mean to you as a party? Why should people vote for you when there are clearly much more able serious candidates?

But like I said before I don't see him as a threat to Blackpool South no matter how much campaigning he does. UKIP have never managed to reach 4 figures in Blackpool South and I don't reckon Hamish is going to change that. From what I am hearing if anything he is putting people off.

You're absolutely right, and it seems Hamish Howitt is the same.

Wherever he goes, the Gasjet people follow him. I might even go along and ask him some questions.

Marsden will only usually jump on bandwagons when he can get his picture in the Gasjet. Like that ridiculous overblown frontpage coverage of the closure of St Georges Swamp with that pre-fabricated picture of Marsden and his 'furious demonstrators'. I bet they 'demonstrated' for about 30 minutes just long enough for the Gasjet to get a picture and then I bet Marsden jumped straight on the next train to Brighton.

I agree Zim Flyer, I want to base my vote more on local issues. It is inevitable that whoever is in after the election is going to have to make some tough choices thanks to the recession and not helped by Labour's reckless spending. But I am willing to accept a bit of pain for a better result in the long run. The most important thing to me is my local area and I feel out of the current canidates Mr Bell is best placed. The only way I will probably change my mind is if an exciting independent candidate was to throw their hat in the ring.
