Under the guise of a “Reader Panel” that will supposedly influence the direction of the paper, the Gasjet have opened a new feature on their website: farming for personal details to send advertisements to. Even on the editor’s letter about this scheme, he manages to squeeze in an advert for a holiday firm.
Apparently if you sign up you’ll be in line for receiving free goodies as well as being able to contribute towards the tone and activity of the Gasjet by filling in email surveys.
I think I’ll stick to writing on here.
I’ve actually signed up to it, mainly so I can express my views on a few issues I have namely the massive excessive amount of coverage they keep give Hamish Howitt and all these non-stories about him being a ‘Mensa member’ (he certainly doesn’t act like it!) and becoming a barrister (believe it when I see it!). There is real news happening out there and they give that muppet celebrity status.
agreed TB but the gasjet avoids the real issues, like the regeneration of Blackpool and doesnt question Herr callow as to what is/isnt happening.

I don’t blame you Harold, yet again today I specifically have been targeted. Some stupid fascist fucker has deleted my comments and left everyone else’s. Why won’t the cunt reveal themself, I do have a list of prime suspects who are namely Labour supporters, Preston paupers and pro-smokers/Hamish Howitt fan club. But then again it could be none of them. I just they would explain why they are targeting me. I have done nothing wrong. It is presumably some soft soul who was upset by some of my outspoken views. But TBH I don’t give a fuck if I’ve upset someone that gives them NO RIGHT to launch a hate campaign against me. If they disagree with my views then be a grown up and debate don’t be so fucking childish whoever you are. Act your age not your single figure IQ.
The Gazette site, like the toilet paper that it is, isnt managed well.
I have noticed the no of comments reducing steadily, because of this.
People should continue to desist from posting until a proper system is in place.

I do post – and to be honest I don’t really care if that idiot deletes them. I add taunting comments sometimes but the truth is because I post during the day, most of the regulars see the comments before this idiot gets back from work / playschool. On Saturdays there really is no point posting anything though but the comments are usually restored on a Monday.
