A white blanket of snow has once again draped itself over the Fylde!
As I drove down from North Shore this morning to the dulcet tones of emergency services vehicles I noticed that for once the Council have actually put grit down in advance of the snow! On some roads.
It’s still slippy-slidy though and there are plenty of people for whom the snow seems to have wiped out any knowledge of road rules they had. By this I mean people that have forgotten how to use a roundabout and what red traffic lights mean (but that seems to be an ever increasing thing even when roads are clear).
For instance, I was sat at the junction between Talbot Road and Devonshire Road earlier on where the lights are staggered, and the car in front just decided to set off when the lights were red and a car pulling a massive trailer was swinging across in front of him. He then slammed his brakes on and went sliding towards this car and it was lucky that there was no impact.
Be careful boys and girls!

Out of curiousity where were those two pictures taken, they look so familiar but I can’t put my finger on it?

One in Bispham one in South Shore. The South Shore one’s easy!

I’ve found the Bispham one I zoomed in on the street sign but I can’t recognise the South Shore one, is it Abbey Road?
loading...
Nope!
loading...
oh oh! Pedders Lane?
loading...
Winner!
loading...
Good one, I couldn’t put my finger on it

Phil we should have a new quiz, guess the different parts of Blackpool.
loading...
The other one is Raymond Avenue (but it ain’t Bispham!).
loading...
Errr… Just realised- maybe ‘Name That Road’ isn’t such a good idea when the pics are being taken from houses!
loading...
Thats what i was thinking – However i have deduced that the house in question is not in fact Phils, but rather his other halfs. As was the car he was being driven home in..
Ahem work is boring me, so ive taken up internet dectective status
loading...
In fact now im certain its not his lol,
sorry phil i know exactly where you live now
loading...
As long as you don’t tell Peter Callow I don’t mind!
loading...
Ahh do I have to warn her about suspicious men with cameras?
The car was mine, though. And I wasn’t driving home at that point!

I’m not convinced that it isn’t Phil’s car. There’s a speed camera detector sat on the dash, which I don’t know of a single woman who has one (yeh, the mysognist that I am etc) and the other thing is that Phil has taken photos from the driver’s seat of a car before…

lol, it’s not my house so no point sending your lynch mobs there!
(and I’ve removed the pic because I value my balls!)
loading...
Has someone been having “a word”, eh?

The very reason you will never see my house or any references to my address on this site. Especially not after NQH pointed out on BTNL people were googling ‘True Blackpudlian address’ or something like that. I think though its some idiot like Timmy Laycock or Ceecida who kept saying I don’t live in Blackpool saying I should prove my residence by asking stupid questions. I have given nobody any reason to suspect I am not from Blackpool so I don’t know what started these idiots off.

I’m not particularly arsed about that. I’m certainly no enigma: Philtheone was and is just the name I use on the Gasjet and as such it became the site name.
I would ask that those that have done their homework don’t reveal any of my (or their) personal information on here, though. Else I’ll have to make the site go to internet heaven.

That’s fair enough
loading...
Else I’ll have to make the site go to internet heaven.
Well it won’t be joining BtNL if it does, as it’s currently enjoying the firey depths of Hell
loading...
Aye well who knows, it may well end up sharing that place!

Mrs F had one of those speed detector thingeys – but she gave it up.
loading...
For info, it’s not a ‘detector’, it’s one that uses GPS
