Not a happy bunny

I’m sure some of the haters will claim it’s karma, what has gone around coming around, or some sort of punishment for driving an orange car, but yesterday I went to the gym at Palatine Leisure Centre and came out to find that my car – parked pretty much in front of the main entrance – had been keyed down to the bare metal right along the bonnet and on to the passenger wing.

No doubt this was carried out by some scum sucking, benefits scrubbing, low life mindless chav.

So I’d like to say thanks for costing me the best part of £400 – and that’s probably a conservative estimate – to get it sorted out. Note that I haven’t reported this to the police as there is no point: it isn’t going to get me the money back, and since my insurance excess is £250 there’s no point claiming on that either. So make sure you add one on to the bullshit crime figures that they produce every now and again.

Despite that, I do hold Superintendent Richard “Debacle” Debicki responsible for not suppressing chav culture, not attending 999 callouts rapidly, not controlling loutish behaviour, not curtailing the drugs culture, allowing Blackpool to labelled as a violent crime hotspot by the Home Office, not having any street presence from real officers and in fact being a Mickey Mouse police force that’s more interested in putting up speed cameras and publicity stunts than providing a value service to the people that pay its humongous salaries and pensions.

I phoned up my dad yesterday about my car being vandalised and he mentioned that two people that he knows used to go to Palatine Leisure Centre, and both had their cars keyed as well. They no longer go, but I’ll still be going in the hope that I can catch the little prick that did it, tie him to a stake then set him alight. Maybe I should have anticipated this vandalism with the leisure centre being next to one of the shittest schools in the UK.

Whilst I’m on this subject I should mention that this location is soon to become the multi-squillion pound Southpoint youth “hub”. That’s right – a veritable hive of teenage wasters. It’s going to be fucking great for the users of the leisure centre with these marauding crews of mindless scum with no respect for anything. But this is an attitude that has evolved during Labour’s tenure in government.

So many lives are now being funded by taxpayers’ money; so many are guaranteed an income from benefits and as a result have no respect for property or themselves because their money just flows and flows. They also know that they’ll never get caught and even if they do, they never get custodial sentences.

There was something in the news last week about a project in the North West where not-for-profit punishments for young offenders were suggested by the public. I heard on the radio that public flogging was one of the top things suggested and I have to say I’d get a lot of pleasure out of dishing that out to the tosser that did my car. Sadly that punishment wasn’t implemented.

  3. Phil I’m gutted for you, that is really really out of order.

If the state won’t protect us, we will have to protect ourselves. Chavs and the underclass have had it their way for too long.

One of the first things that Blackpool needs to target is who is moving into the town. For too long we have been the dumping ground for the scum of the North, until that situation changes we will see more attacks on Blackpool and it’s residents.

I would like to see the Conservative party supporting the death penalty, the restoration of a culture of “responsibility for your actions” and a work for your dole scheme.

Until we take on the underclass things are only going to get worse.

    • I’m not sure about the death penalty, but what I’d like to see is non-flexible, harsh sentences given out.

For example, everyone knows that when a criminal receives a sentence of X years, they never ever serve it because “the prisons are full”.

This begs the question why do judges give out sentences in this bizarre way? Why don’t they just give them the actual sentence that they’ll end up doing?

My opinion is that they do it to make out the justice system is tougher than it actually is. Headline grabbing sentences are all well and good but they should come with small print stating that the criminal will only serve half of it.

Case in point, and I’ve mentioned this shitbag a few times lately, is corrupt (former) police commander Ali Dizaei. He received “8 years”. However, the two 4-year sentences he received are to run concurrently and it’s said he’ll only end up doing 2 of them. Call that justice? I don’t.

  5. The council have let that place run itself down in such a short space of time – it’s effectively a youth centre now, too. You can’t fail to have noticed that things don’t work and often aren’t repaired, nothing is cleaned or painted and the staff generally don’t give a shit about the state of the place or giving customers a good experience. Likewise, the car park isn’t a play area, meeting place or dog exercising ground, but the council still let everyone treat it as such.

I would at least report the incident to the police. If they don’t get the message through that crime IS happening then they can’t be pressured in to doing something about it – and the politicians can bullshit us that “crime is coming down”.

  6. I’ve been keyed too recently – but on my drive. I wouldn’t report it to the police though – they won’t investigate it and the insurance companies will have yet another excuse to increase premiums.

  7. Literally just got back from Spain via liverpool Airport. My Mum drove over to Liverpool and I drove back. In January, on another shorter (4 day) trip to Spain I made the (stoopid) mistake of parking my car on the Speke estate. I’m not totally stupid (actually I must be!!) because I parked it away from the airport and didn’t make it obvious I was away.

However, God decided to side with the scousers and closed Liverpool Airport for 3 days so my lovely Picasso was left in Speke in the snow for a week. I gave up counting the dints and scratches, I lost two of the windscreen wipers (and arms!)

To say I was fuming is an understatement but I truly feel your pain Phil. I wanted to come back and park up for a week, camping in the boot, waiting with a loaded shotgun, but thought better of it.

Vandalism of this sort desperately requires a short, sharp shock!

I’m thinking a good kick in the bollox would be a good starting point.

    Still, you live and learn.

I won’t park at Speke again but I hate the fact that the scumbags have “won!”

    • Yeah. I’ve just taken mine for a quote from paintandbodyclinic.co.uk (aka John Hall Honda) whom I have used before for something that was my fault.

      £530.

To say I’m pissed off is an understatement.
