We’ve heard in the news in the last few weeks about 20% of children in Blackpool being obese, we’ve heard about some of Blackpool’s schools being the worst in the UK with some of the worst truancy levels. We know that there are arson cases almost every other week, be they insurance jobs or just mindless destruction. We know that traditional middle class areas are in decline, with a distinct shift towards state dependency as professional businesses close down and educated people have no jobs to go to.
We know that Blackpool has been labelled by the Home Office as the most violent town in the North West, has many wards that are within the worst 10% of areas in Lancashire for overall crime, and recently they also revealed that there had been a 50% increase in drug crime.
Today we can add another unpleasant statistic to this record of demise: as national figures fall to a 20-year low, the rate of teenage pregnancies in Blackpool is rocketing.
According to the Office of National Statistics, 175 teenage girls became pregnant in 2008 which equates to 6% of teenage girls. As well as the start of 175 families, this could mean the beginning of more than 350 benefits careers.
Take it away, Harold…

Thanks Phil, 3 policy changes are needed here.
1) On benefit already? Then no more money for kids, not a penny. If you get pregnant, then pay for it yourself, thats YOUR responsibility. No more Yusufs,Politts of Mgrawley insects.
2) Teenager and pregnant? No flat, No benefits, you move to a hostel for single mums, end of.No child related benefits to under 21s.
3) Go to the doctor and have a test for downs sysndrome if you are pregnant, the doctor says yes the child will be born disabled etc.
If you choose to go ahead with the birth, despite being told of the medical facts,NO STATE BENEFITS, NOT a penny. Its an informed decision, you pay for the upkeep of the child yourself,NOT the tax payer.I hear from 2 sources that the latest sick, vile fad is to go out and get pregnant to a disabled or retarded person, with the likelihood the child will be disabled in order to get all the benefit goodies like DLA, (which ought to be means tested)
Which mainstream party will tackle these issues head on?
Easy answer: NONE.
Its time for a fair society, fair to those who adopt a value thats labour hates, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

If those are your real views you would probably be happier living in one of the poorer parts of India.

Well Harold I do not agree with you at all, however, I 100% support your right to express your views. Thank you for your candour.

faie enough Bruiser.

They are and I stand by them,I have seen enough of the abuse of the welfare system.
why? I used work in it!

A supporting article here, note the usual liberal apologist rhetoric by the labour scum: http://www.taxpayersalliance.com/media/2010/02/daily-express-now-one-in-four-mums-is-a-single-parent.html

Which party will tackle this abuse head on?
To be honest of the Big Two they both want to tackle it but for different reasons.
Assuming one of the other wins the election of course.
Labour as they know huge cuts have to be made in public spending and it is probably better to piss a few one parent families off than a shedload of DWP employees by sacking them.
The Tories because it is what they do, they have a record of cracking down on what they see as social abuse and the savings generated from that crackdown will simply be seen as the icing on the cake.
So change is upon us….. Whomever wins this election.
On that point go home and batten down the hatches the call will come to go and vote a lot sooner than people think!!!
Maybe within a few days….

trust me, its May 6th

I agree with most of Harold’s post.
We need to take on the underclass if we don’t we are in danger of them out breeding us.
The obvious solution has to be the more kids you have the less child benefit you get. The chavs will eventually get the message.

Cheers zim,my views are based on experience, I have seen enough to turn anyone’s stomach, someone has to stop this and quick, its rotting our country inside out.

As the numbers of Chav’s multiply like ants, I’m thinking of starting a business specialising in Chav uniform’s:
Mainly tracksuit bottoms and other sports attire which of course will never be used for any sporting purposes.

lol No clothes are required in a gas chamber, lol.

The sponging culture is a product of zanulabour; its all part of the “inclusive” society;sponge off the state through big families and/or disabled children and its just that; ALL INCLUSIVE, all thrown in for contributing nothing, freebies, benefits and Jeremy Fuckin Kyle.
Will any of these mainstream parties bring any about any of policies I suggested?I dont think so but I want to be wrong, either way its an issue that requires RADICAL and URGENT attention; anything less is unacceptable.
Personally I would dump the Politts,Yusufs and the Mgrawleys et al into a huge slurry pit, witha can of Zyclon B where they belong. They are an infestation on society.

I have just watched Nigel Farge on QT, I like him,hes says things straight,I liked his comments about the new EU president.

The trouble is, he’s bent and he’s allied with a load of violent right wingers and other nutters.

bent in what sense? gay? lol or crooked?

Allegedly crooked.. plenty of stuff about him on here, search his name!

I will cheers, well hes just a normal MEP then, lol but he still amuses me all the same.

I wouldn’t vote UKIP at all now with some of the nutjobs they have standing namely lawbreaking publicans Nick Hogan and Hamish Howitt. I will not back any party that opposes the smoking ban. They’ll never win anyway.

agreed about Hamish, hes lost the plot, oh well (sigh), what a shame, back to the BNP..(lol)

Oh a barrel of laughs that site, I’ve been on that ‘pro choice’ site before, pro choice? I have never seen a load of blatant pro-smoking propaganda. Like I say Harold its a shame that UKIP are soiling their reputation by recruiting these fruitcakes because underneath they have some excellent policies on Europe and other issues.
loading...
Labour can’t crack down too hard though. They have created this so as to get lots of Labour voters. Turkeys aren’t going to vote for Christmas by voting themselves out of getting other people’s money to fund their lifestyle.
loading...
Hit the nail on the head there.
I think the problem is that many people on benefits would end up with less money by getting a job. This isn’t their fault, it’s the fault of a welfare state that is too generous and too easy to extract money from. One benefit leads to another and you end up on a comfortable amount of money for sitting on your arse.
It is like the MP’s expenses system. I don’t blame MPs for exploiting it, it’s there for just that purpose. The same applies to the welfare state.

Which is why there will be an election before a budget.
The city is demanding an austerity budget if they don’t get it we face a Sterling Crisis. It could be argued we are already in crisis looking at the falls against the $ over the last fortnight alone but these days none of this gets mentioned in the media.
The double dip has already arrived. House values are again falling and now the ONS has revised the growth figure it turns out we never really left the recession at all.
All the economic news going forward is bad.
Labour know they have to crack down and hard. They also know the budget is the traditional harbinger of bad news in this scenario.
We are talking taking £££ Billions out of the public sector, there will be jobs carnage and cuts left right and centre.
Not going to want to be announcing that lot a few weeks before an election are they?
Take all that with the fact New Labour have closed the Tories lead and truly they will never have a better chance which ios why they will take it.
In my opinion we are days away from an announcement…
loading...
Your logic certainly stands up.
I’d heard the end of March from another well informed source but also know from the horse’s mouth that some schools in South Shore have been booked for May 6th.
loading...
Play all that in with the fact that they rolled out the big guns Mandleson and Prescott to defend Brown over the bullying allegations and you can see something is troubling them.
Mandleson looked particularly worried that the shit was hitting the fan and that he was losing control of events, The spin masters cronies were going all out to to smear the woman how heads the charity so clearly they were looking to put the lid on things quickly.
March 25th seems to be bookies favourite so much so they have stopped taking bets on that date!!
Ok so they managed to get the ONS to revise the figure upwards slightly but lets not forget £200 Billion was freshly printed and pumped in to achieve that.
The funny money has stopped and there is currently no prospect of an immediate return. That tells me the only way is down deep down.
I already had my suspicions about an imminent announcement before the rumours circulating last night that the BBC political teams have been told to stay in their offices this weekend.

Hi geezer466 did you notice how only your comment and my comment on that Gasjet article about Marsden were the only ones deleted which gives me further suspicion one of Marsden’s minions has some kind of conspiracy at the Gazette deleting any anti-Marsden comments. I wrote to the Gazette editors that day demanding our comments be restored, surprise surprise no reply and they not been restored. Why is the Gasjet so against free speech? Pro-Labour sods they are.
loading...
Take my word for it, Election will be May 6th
loading...
In which case the economic news will have turned so sour, Labour will be annihilated…..
Yes I saw the Gazette comments deleted. Little can do about which is why I don’t post there as often as I did. Water off a ducks back, if the imbeciles want to silence the proles then they must be frightened of what they have to say.

TB will be pleased – There’s a rumour going around that Nando’s is opening up in the old Clark’s shop on Church Street.
I’m sceptical, but we’ll see.

Which grapevine did you hear that on?

The town centre one, this morning! Someone in one of the shops neaby.

Spot on John Bickerstaffe, I would be pleased but seems a bit of a small location for Nandos, but if they are looking at that site, thanks for the heads up, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Hi Harold,
I Have met Nigel Farage, he has a handshake like a wet lettuce leaf and is allegedly under investigation by OLAF the EU fraud office, they have apparently sent his file and the files of 4-5 other MEPs to the CPS.
This man is an MEP purely because of the gravy train he’s on. This man is not worthy of your vote. http://juniusonukip.blogspot.com/
One of his MEP was sent to prison for 2 years last November for fraud offences.
The extremely rude and unprovoked verbal attack on the EU minister does not serve the UKIP supposed political aims? The outburst was unnecessary, uncalled for and did nothing for UKIP whatsoever save to show that Nigel has become even more extremist since joining a group of extremist in the EU.
Nigel Farage is known to rehearse for a couple of hours before any TV event and can appear quite charismatic.
I believe Nigel Farage to be money grabbing leach.
UKIP claims to want Britain to leave the EU, can anyone explain just how having MEPs works towards this aim, the only way to take Britain out of the EU is through the British parliament, its all a big con to keep the gravy train going for a selected few.
loading...
I agree completely there Bruiser, if they are so anti-EU why do they have MEPs. I am very eurosceptic which is why I want to see the UK pull out of the EU. It seems a bit hypocritical for UKIP to have MEPs claiming six-figure salaries and six-figure expenses and then claiming they are anti-EU. But what has really destroyed any chance they had of my vote is putting these law-breaking pro-smoking fruitcakes in as candidates.
