The proposed upcoming TV debates between the 3 leaders; Brown, Cameron and Clegg have just become even more interesting. For one thing I am very glad to see they are all being held outside London, a point brilliantly put by Carol Vorderman on Question Time.

But the most interesting thing is that there is a strict set of rules in place for the 3 leaders and audience. The audience is being selected from voters of parties, floating voters and non-voters. The audience have been told no heckling or jeering.

But the bit I really like the sound of is that the politicians will be timed on their answers. This will stop them going off on a tangent about irrelevant issues. So hopefully it will stop Brown the Clown going off on rants about what the Tories did 20-30 years ago and hopefully none of his childish socialist class war idiocy.

I say bring it on, they should make for some interesting debates, I just hope for once we get some straight answers.

  1. I would like to see the UKIP,EDs, greens and the BNP on as well.

None of these 3 parties stand for anything, I expect shite from shite.

I want to see Nick Griffin in a tete a tete with Gordon Brown on immigration,PC, multicultralism and law and order.

I hope we get straight answers Phil but I really doubt it.It will show how inept the 3 parties are and how a shock vote is needed.

Still ,something to hurl abuse at the TV about, lol

    • Very good point I was absolutely furious when I read that, they are overpaid as it is. They are freezing the pay of teachers, nurses and firefighters but overpaid ungrateful MPs are always worth a payrise.

  3. I do agree the TV interviews are a good thing however I wouldn’t just interviews the potential PMs. I would run a series of interviews with all the front benches beginning with the home sec, health minister, education and the chancellor. The final interview would be with the PMs you could do this over a week hopefully this would generate interest in the election and give the general and true view of what the individual political parties policies are like. I would also not put a time limit on the answers, for I feel this allows the politicians opportunity not to answer question I point to George Osborne non answers on the Andrew Marr show last Sunday, what should take place is the presenter should be allowed to keep politicians on track and not allow them to wonder all over the place.

    • I like that idea, it would be good to see what the frontbenchers offer as well. But the thing is when you see frontbench MPs on Question Time all they do is act as an advertisement for the party. Andrew Adonis was a perfect example the other night, instead of answering questions constructively he just went off pushing the Labour agenda.

  5. “just hope for once we get some straight answers.”

    haha hope.
imo tho, will we fuck. Will be ether Labour spewing out the same old bullshit, Labour Lite jabbing some bullshit that means nothing or the libdems coming out with fruitloop ideas knowing no matter what, no one will vote for them.

Everyone knows no matter who gets in, country will still be getting poorer, rich will still be getting richer and anyone making a basic wage in the public sector will be frozen out. Not to mention giant tax hikes for the rest of us. Oh and freedom will die a little more.

  6. Is it even worth Nick Clegg turning up. I mean does anybody actually give two craps what he has to say ? Much like Ming and Charlie before him he’s a joke leader of a joke party.

They should only be invited if leaders of other minority parties are going to be invited along.

However, much like happened with Question Time it would just turn into another public slanging of Nick Griffin.

  8. I agree with BNP and English Democrats and other small parties but after reading that document last week I don’t trust UKIP as far as I can throw them especially as it has been hijacked by pro-smoking idiots like Hamish and Nick Hogan. Ditch these one-issue morons and I may reconsider.

    • Lol, That’s the one!!! I’d sooner vote for Frank Carson, at least he is actually campaigning on an issue that matters; the potholes on Newton Drive.

      • Frank was asked to stand but turned it down because of his age.

        • Interesting, I remember him saying now he had switched his allegiance to UKIP, if he was candidate I would actually consider them because he actually cares about Blackpool.

          • I take it you spoke to him when he was in the vic.
Its a pity he didn’t take up the offer. We wouldn’t have had all this shit wth Hamish if he had.

            • Actually I have never met him I remember reading about it in the Gazette and on BBC News. Then again looking at the underhand antics at UKIP I reckon they would simply boot Mr Carson out to give Hamish the seat.

  11. The liberal (and ironically enough fascist) agenda against the BNP continues apace today.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8558044.stm

Clearly Mr Griffin must be doing something right to have so much of the fascist left so worried.

  12. Yes hes just telling the truth about issues that the other 3 wont talk about. The BNP dont have to lie about immigration, most people want it reducing massively, its the 3 in 1 shitbag parties that refuse to act and listen who are the real fascists here.

Anti immigration does not equal racist!

lets not forget the paedo loving UAF scum as well, they are pure filth.
