In a moment which will strike Liberal Democrat and Conservative spin doctors as mana from heaven, Gordon Brown has today exposed himself as a two-faced, distant politician that does not even care about his own voters. This, dear readers, is Gordon Brown’s John Prescott moment.
In a visit to Rochdale today the Prime Minister was confronted by self-confessed lifelong Labour voting pensioner Gillian Duffy. Mrs Duffy queried Gordon Brown on issues such as the unfair tuition fees that would be hitting her grandchildren, the fact that she’s taxed on her late husband’s pension and crucially that she was worried about Eastern European immigration.
The conversation seemed amicable enough and the pair parted on seemingly good terms with Mrs Duffy congratulating the Prime Minister on his education policy. Gordon then was ushered into his car and came out with a thin-skinned eruption to rival Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull. Unfortunately for him, by Labour’s own request he had a radio microphone on and his rant was picked up by the world’s media.
Whether the fallout will worse for the Prime Minister than the volcanic ash was remains to be seen but the prognosis is not good.
GB: “That was a disaster”
Aide: “What did she say?”
GB: “Well, just… should never have put me with that woman. Whose idea was that?”
Aide: “I don’t know, I didn’t see her.”
GB: “It’s Sue.. I think.”
GB: “It’s just ridiculous.”
Aide: “Im not sure whether they’ll go with that one.”
GB: “They will go with it.”
Aide: “What did she say?”
GB: “Ach.. everything. She’s just a sort of bigoted woman that said she used to be Labour.. I mean it’s ridiculous”
Brown blamed everyone apart from himself for the incident, first picking on a long standing Labour aide, then when questioned by Jeremy Vine later he said it was the media’s fault for having him mic’d up. I don’t doubt you will be seeing his performance on Vine’s radio show on the news tonight, because he has his head in his hands when listening to the tape being played back. Pure gold. Here’s the audio;
So is this the moment that finally seals Gordon’s exit from Number 10? Is it the moment that shatters Labour’s smokescreen of spin, cutting through the blizzard of misdirection coaxing us into believing Gordon’s just like one of us?
For me, it demonstrates the outright contempt for voters that MPs have, exemplified by the man in the top job: the unelected pariah that professes to run this great country. We already knew he had no respect for ordinary people because he wouldn’t give us a general election when he came into power: this incident shows his public face which he puts on under duress from Labour spin doctors and provides a clear contrast with his private tumultuous and contemptible personality. He just isn’t interested in people: only Labour and himself.
His instinctive labelling of Gillian Duffy demonstrates that if you have legitimate concerns about immigration you are, in Gordon Brown’s opinion, a bigot. If he didn’t mean it, he wouldn’t have said it, and I can’t wait for the other parties to stick the boot in.

Having seen this as it happened I was left choking on my lunch at this spectacular gaffe.
Gordon Brown had certainly damaged his reputation and is left to grovel to Mrs Duffy.
What was he thinking, surely his aides should of ensured that he was de-miked..!
As we speak he is Mrs Duffy’s home in Rochdale begging for forgiveness, if I was Mrs Duffy I would allow the cameras into my home at the same time as Mr Brown.
Exciting times for the Lib Dems & The Conservative party’s..

Sky news and the BBC are re running this time after time…. The amount of damage this will cause will be enormous.
Does this not epitomise the mess 13 years of New Labour has got us in. Anyone that has raised the issues of immigration to this country has been labelled as a bigot.
This now from the mouth of our very own Prime Minister.

Hahaha, excellent pictures. I presume I’ll be seeing these across just about every paper tomorrow.
I liken this to the MPs expenses scandal. He’s only apologising and Mandelson’s only out there saying it was a spur of the moment thing because Gordon got caught bang to rights.
Same thing with all this talk about reform – they’re only saying that they want it because they all got caught with their snouts in the trough!

Its seems he failed in his primary mission in going round her house in person to apologise….
No doubt he hoped she would accompany him on the way out and tell the worlds press (this story has gone viral) that it was all a terrible misunderstanding and that everyone is friends again.
So after a another fudged apology he was bundled into his Jag by a couple of burly Special Branch minders and left Mrs Duffy to the clutches of the Worlds press camped out in her front garden. Sky news has pictures of a couple of dozen of them around her front door but it appears she is not coming out….
No matter they simply need to bide their time.. She will have to emerge sooner or later to take the whippet for a shit and to tend to the pigeons…..

One journalist I heard on the radio said she is a woman from Yorkshire, it’s good to see the press know their geography.
As for Gordon, best get back to just meeting cheering Labour party members.

To be fair maybe she is from Yorkshire but living in Rochdale? I’m surprised they didn’t just say “Up North”!

This is great, anything which helps Liebour lose the election is alright with me. This will also be some excellent fodder for Clegg and Cameron on tommorow night’s election debate. Brown has enough to face already because the thrid and final debate is on unarguably Labour’s weakest subject THE ECONOMY, I can’t wait.

I suspect lot of lapel microphones will be left on from now on – for “Candid” “off mic” comments like…….
(Cameron/Clegg gets in the car and drives off) ” That man was exactly the sort of person that I got into politics to help”

Good point, but I reckon Brown will be doing it evenmoreso. He’ll turn up at a well-rehearsed Labour rally and then get in the car saying ‘Oh what wonderful people, these are the sort of ordinary people I want to help unlike the Tories’. I am just glad to see Mrs Duffy hasn’t caved in and forgiven him after his grovelling like that one the other day. There was a pub landlord ranting and raving at that slimy toad Ed Miliband demanding to see the PM. Then 5 minutes later he was all ‘Brown’s a great guy, he was willing to listen and talk to me’ what a bloody joke. Labour isn’t even making an effort campaigning, all of Brown’s personal appearances have been well-rehearsed stunts attended by diehard Labour supporters. In Blackpool they are making no effort, its just a normal day for Marsden, he’s not even here, too busy living it up in Brighton. MARSDEN OUT 2010!!!!

Proof not that any were needed as to why you should not vote labour, EVER AGAIN!
Labour is a party of bigots, bigotted against:
English
White
male
hetrosexual
Christian
ablev bodied
and God knows who else.
Never have I known a party to be as vile and consumed with hatred as Labour.
Their mainfesto on diversity is equivalent to mein kampf.
Joe Stalin would be proud of Gordon Brown.

I agree Labour are bigots, complete bigots. I don’t believe at all in ‘positive’ discrimination, I think it is racist and sexist and should be outlawed. We should NEVER be giving preference to people because of where they come from etc, jobs should ALWAYS be awarded on the basis of merit. When I go to hospital, call the police (if they turn up!!!) or fire brigade, I gain no consolation from knowing we have a more ‘equal’ NHS/police/fire service if the people they have recruited are not the most capable for the job. ‘Positive’ discrimination should be illegal.

I agree, its nulabours obsession with ‘minority groups’ thats fuelling all the anger and support for parties like the BNP.
Nulabour is a sexist, racist, classist party, its sick and evil.
Merit and nothing else, thats all that matters.

It’s so good to see there is an election due soon – anybody know when it is.
Still nobody knocking on my Door – Must already be a done deal in Poulton.
Maybe they expect everbody will vote for the Invisable Party ?

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/elections/news/article/brown-defends-bigoted-woman-jibe/N0102421272653044070A Brown just has no shame. But this proves what I have long said Labour supporters/politicians will NEVER admit when they are wrong, just look at the Liebour sheep on the Gasjet site if you want proof. That obnoxious ‘cardy’ changes his opinion everytime Labour cocks up and blames the Tories.

If anybody are bigots, it’s you lot. Listen to yourselves; ‘these labour voters’ all of ‘labour are bigots’? ‘consumed with hatred?’ Where did these far-right, narrow minded opinions come from, actually don’t answer that i couldn’t give a toss.
Just to wind you’s up, i’m still voting labour, that woman WAS a bigot, and funnily enough she’s gone crawling to ‘the scum’ (sun) now for some easy money out of this ‘story’. That says it all.
loading...
Would rather vote for a fox hunting Tory lord on a horse riding straight out of Eton than Labour.
It doesn’t “say it all” anyway – it says that the Sun offered her loads of money to slag off Gordon Brown and she accepted it. The woman wasn’t a bigot, she’s just a victim of the politically correct ignorant two-faced society created by people like you and epitomised by Gordon Brown.

Ian and Ruth Duffy are a couple of Labour councillors from Fleetwood who post targeted abuse on here under various pseudonyms.

Doesn’t look like it.

Personally Jonny Dade, if anyone here is a ‘bigot’, it is you. We are NOT ‘far right’ and ‘narrow minded’ just because we don’t like Labour. You are the one being narrow-minded with such rants. You seem like the sort of person who brands anyone who supports a right-wing party ‘far right’. I suggest you get your facts straight before you spout such bile. Gillian Duffy was not a bigot, she had the balls to speak up for herself which so many people will not do. We have a right to have our say about Labour, this is a right-leaning blog, so if you don’t like what we say then don’t bother coming on here. Just don’t read it rather than coming on and insulting us just for having valid opinions.

Speaking of bigotry, looks like the BNP have issues, just copied off their site, lol
A message from Simon Bennett due to the volume of phone calls and emails I am receiving:
This website and domain are no longer in my control. I have not sabotaged it. The domain name has been pointing to the new BNP server since last night (5th May) which is completely out of my hands. If your Emails are affected, again this is completely out of my hands and control.
If you are reading this message it is because they have set up their server incorrectly and this needs to be resolved by the new webmaster.
It is important to note that I have been working hard to negotiate a seamless switchover of the website, but for reasons unknown to me the leadership have chosen to force the domain from me, steal my work, data and systems and go it alone rather than paying for it. I will continue to work hard to try and resolve the situation quickly, professionally and amicably. This is in the hands of Nick Griffin and Jim Dowson, not me.
It should also be noted that they have decided to put a personal grudge against me before the interests of the party and its members. This was not a fight of my choosing

Look guys, i came on this site and got a bit narky reading some of the opinions, i found one or 2 to be very… what’s the word – black and white. Ive realised now that i’ve clearly upset a lot of people and for that i apologise, politics always was a touchy-touchy subject and i should have seen this coming. Anyway, long story cut short, sorry for causing a stir, yes, you are all entitled to opinions, but don’t forget, so am I, and i know i could have constructed my posts a bit better, but they were at the end of the day, MY opinions. If you want freedom to say what you like, than learn to take a bit of stick once in a while. Anyway, i don’t really want to rant on again, so goodbye for now, and have nice days the lot of you (and i mean that)
Peace,
Jonny Dade

We can take it Jonny, and you’re welcome to post whatever you like, agree or not. But people here for the most part are right leaning so if you’re a leftie then expect a bit of resistance to your views!
But I certainly wont be deleting anything you say because I don’t believe in that. It’s why people use this site: I support freedom of speech and despise censorship.

You guys aren’t so bad after all!
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my messages, i’ll leave you in peace now.
Best Regards,
Jonny
