Negative campaigning; about the only thing Labour is actually good at. I recieved a campaign leaflet from ‘local’ Liebour MP Gordon Marsden today and just as I expected it was peppered with cheap swipes at other parties especially the Tories. This guy has been in Blackpool for 13 years, never lived here and shows no commitment to Blackpool and yet he is negatively campaigning, pathetic. It just gives me yet another reason to unseat him. Anyone who cares about Blackpool will vote for anyone but Marsden or Hamish.
But it is on a national level that their cheap childish negative tactics are getting more worrying. Firstly last week there was an absolutely appalling story I read in the papers where Labour were sending personalised leaflets to cancer patients and other people with serious illnesses trying to score points by making these leaflets political saying things like ‘Don’t vote Tory, it is bad for your health, you won’t get treatment etc’ and I think that is disgusting. These people have enough to worry about without politicians stooping to such low levels exploiting them.
Then today a Labour candidate is trying to scaremonger votes by making false and quite frankly sick claims about the Liberal Democrats claiming they will give the vote to murderers and paedophiles.
This just shows how low this wretched party will stoop to try and con people to vote for them. But what worries me the most is that gullible suckers who don’t think about who they vote for will eat this stuff up seeing everything through their rose-tinted specs.

I would love to say Why don’t you bother to live in Blackpool and never have done but then I just know he would spout some well-rehearsed rhetoric about how he had a home in Blackpool for the last 13 years eventhough the only address he puts on the ballot paper is his constituecy office while all the other candidates put their REAL home addresses on, that is one loophole they should close. But also I would ask him how he thinks it is fair that he enjoyed a FREE education at some of the best universities in the world and yet he voted in favour of unfair hypocritical tuition fees and now Labour wants to pave the way to let universities charge what they like. I would like to see him smarmily talk his way out of that one especially as on his leaflet he says ‘Education is a passion of mine’ or some bollocks to that effect.

I got a personally addressed propaganda sheet from Marsden today, as you can imagine it went straight in the bin. Labour and UKIP are not getting my vote no matter what happens so they are wasting their time and paper if they deluded think they can win me over. LABOUR OUT 2010 MARSDEN OUT 2010!!!!!
