My reply to the above..
Firstly I decided to leave the older version of Live In Blackpool now Blackpool Aloud because I did not see eye to eye with the new owners.
Behind the scenes I was spoken to like a piece of shit by Jack and this caused Dave to resign and leave the site.
It was starting to become boring, Trams and Politics are NOT the back bone of Blackpool.
I owned the name and Jack owned the host, we could not work together a shame but it does happen.
In the interests of the site I resigned and took my images and the domain name with me to transfer to my new site.
Whilst setting up my new site Adam or Whip, decided to sign up to my site and cause problems.
There are 2 sides to every story its just a shame that people become internet warriors safe and sound behind their computers.
I would love people to say these things to my face, but alas they wont.
On a different matter,
Phil I appreciate and respect what you did for me today and I am very grateful.

Well, in fairness almost all of your site’s content is copied and pasted from either the Gazette, BBC or some other source.
Even Peter’s match reports are copy and paste bollocks, just Google a sentence or two from them to see where he’s nicked them from.
None of that would get you a prison sentence or criminal record, you’d just be asked to take it down in the first instance if the copyright holder wasn’t happy.
However, hanging round a school taking pictures of little girls and posting them on Live in Blackpool may well get you a criminal record.

There are no prohibitions regarding age in photography and/or images posted online.
The only recourse in law would be if the images and the content thereof broke laws on obscenity and decency, or were taken against the terms of a court order, or in a private place where the photographer had no legal access.
Otherwise copyright/legal ownership may be the only remedy – in which case the copyright owner would have to assert and prove ownership to the satisfaction of a court.
But there are NO laws, per se, prohibiting the exhibition of images of children online.
I humbly submit that you Sir, are a fool, and an ignorant fool at that…

The ‘screen shot’ would be useless until u have formally written/emailed a request for the image to be removed personally or via a solicitor. Then you would have to dick about getting an injunction if the photo had ether not been removed or the minors faces blurred out.
If the faces were blurred out and you still wanted the photo removed you would have sue Phil over copyright infringement but the outcome would most likely be ‘fair use’ depending on the images background of usage. All civil case’s and all cash down the drain for you unless you ‘won’ the copyright case.
I’m sure if you asked nicely the image could be removed/blurred or you could be a cunt and have a harder time. As always the choice is yours. It’s your cash to squander!

I have to admit that as a former ‘Live In Blackpool’ team member I am horrified by this article – the tone of the words are just horrible beyond belief. What really saddens me is that I thought so highly of these people, only a few weeks ago, and was actually looking forward to meeting Mr Mowbray in person! I’m amazed that they don’t seem to have made any sort of apology either; presumably they think it’s OK to insult the people who helped them to build the site?
As for Jack treating Peter like shit – what about the time when Jack was told to ‘f*** off’ from the forum he built in his own free time just because he wanted to make it easier to maintain? Hmmm… double standards again anyone?

I’ve decided that i’m going to stay out of the fall outs as i’ve got my A Levels coming up and can’t be doing with the extra stress. I’m not going to defend myself because I know there isn’t much point (There’s Peter’s supporters and there’s my supporters, and that’s totally fine with me), but I do know that those who know me also know what i’m like.
I will however say though that I put 10,000% into Live In Blackpool and I will be doing the same with Blackpool Aloud. I spent the evening of my Birthday (and up to about 3AM) setting the forum up and getting it running, and then from then on spent nearly every night up till between 2 and 5AM making improvements to the forum – I was as dedicated as you can be to a Blackpool forum without living in the town.
The internal politics of before the split (As far as i’m concerned) have no place here, but if anyone is interested I will happily provide an unbiased view including extracts from the former Team Room if Peter & co and the BA team are all in agreement.
Peter was someone that I respected highly and indeed the person I credit my current view of Blackpool too. After my initial visit in June I came away with the thoughts ‘Shit hole’, however then found the forum and the rest, as they say, is history. Peter was (and still is) a great ambassador for the town, however I can’t help feeling that this (Oh, and the multitude of logs i’ve got on my server but won’t be posting!) would taint his reputation.
I said right from the start that if things went tits up I would be happy to fully co-operate and work things through – including handing over a complete copy of the file system and database if required. It seems, however, that Peter was not willing to be so co-operative leaving us where we are now. Nonetheless, what’s done is done so the fact is irrelevant.
It also appears that i’m now being blamed for attacking a website with spam bots and other things – which is in fact illegal in the UK. I’ll happily fully co-operate with Peter & co and turn over all of my logs from the past fortnight to show that this isn’t the case, and i’d appreciate an apology from Peter for making baseless accusations. Whilst i’m on the topic, your site isn’t ‘new’, though that fact does seem to depend on whether you’re praising your site or not. The URL has had a site located at it since January 16th 2010 and 10:47PM and has been indexed by Google since then – thus the high page rank. As a result of this, it’s become a high-profile site that will be subject to spam bots.
Oh and Dave, if you’re reading this – you can’t be run over by a tram, they’ve got ‘life guards’. If you cared to study the front of your precious Balloon 711 you’d see that. And on the topic of trams, the site was not going in that direction – it had a wide-spread coverage of PB and Events from Peter & other members, Paul was giving election coverage (as was agreed with the team) whilst I was posting the odd bit of tram stuff… as was agreed when the site started – “Trams will be featuring heavily” has just been quoted from my email inbox.
Anyway, I have other things to do (Such as revision, a tram magazine and god knows what else) so I’ll leave it there and just say that I wish the best of luck to Peter & Co in their new venture. I’m not out for wars and if they care to check their server logs against my IP addresses they will see that i’ve not signed up for their site – though I have visited a couple of times with no malicious intent. I thanked Jack time and again for his amazing work on LIB without Jacks efforts the site would never of got of the ground.
Its sad that people fall out as it has in this case but I am sure Blackpool Aloud will do very well.
They have a good team together there and the site looks very good.
As I said we all had different ideas about how to promote a site to represent Blackpool.
My ideas are different from Jacks and Pauls, no hard feelings but the facts are I did not want to be associated with a predominately Political/Tram based site.
Surely thats my choice to make, there is plenty of room out there for various versions of Blackpool based forums and I welcome them..

I personally would like us to be given an apology for this. ‘Live In Blackpool’ was also never in any danger of becoming a tram/political site either; indeed we have had some good topics on the Tower and the Zoo amongst other things on Blackpool Aloud so far.
That said, now I’ve said my bit I would be only be too happy to move on for this awful chain of events, but please do not accuse my friends of doing things which they have not. So long as everyone on LIB remains civil and does not attack other websites, I’m sure we can move on from this – frankly we all have far better things to worry about, and nobody will gain anything from this slagging match!
