When Austin Molloy woke up on the 13th of May and prepared for his magistrate duty at Blackburn Magistrates Court, little did he realise that he’d woken into a politically correct nightmare.

Four days later and Mr Molloy has had his position as bench chairman revoked as the Judicial Office of Communications conduct an investigation into him for his actions on that fateful Thursday.

So what heinous events of misjustice did he direct? Given that I’ve mentioned political correctness you can probably guess that it’s something that would make 99% of normal Brits (apart from self-obsessed PC generals in Whitehall) want to smash their face into their desk in despair. And you’d be right.

One of the cases Mr Molloy had to deal with was that of two unnamed 16 year old boys who were invited into Blackburn Cathedral to have a look round. They then proceeded to cause £3,000 of damage comprising of writing ‘sickening and perverted’ sexual and racist slogans across prayer books and damaging an ancient and priceless John the Baptist cross. Needless to say, they don’t have to pay back any money in reparations and were given a paltry fine. Some justice.

Anyway, in summing up the case, bench chair Austin Molloy said that these two boys would be described by normal people as ‘absolute scum’. Quite right they would, and that would be being kind.

At this point the PC alarm started ringing in the court clerk’s head and she felt empowered to carry forth the wishes of deposed feminist and PC Übermensch Harriet Harperson. Christine Dean jumped up like a jack-in-a-box; the voice of the women-empowering Harperson echoing in her head telling her that this was her day, her time, and her duty to make a difference!

And so the circus began. Bleeding heart do-gooder Dean challenged Mr Molloy, slating him for ‘inappropriate language’. Those poor boys! Lets wrap them in a politically correct blanket! She then set about engineering an official complaint against the magistrate by encouraging the mother of one of the boys to start the procedure.

The following day Mr Molloy was due to sit as a magistrate again but it was decided that he should not be the chairman and a replacement magistrate had to be driven in from Accrington, causing an hour delay in the start of court proceedings that day.

Sets a great example of a robust system when even the judge can be undermined by lentil-eating, Guardian reading, PC slaves in the court, doesn’t it?

Anyhow, Molloy has been found neither guilty nor innocent so far and people are flocking to support him: even the leader of Blackburn and Darwen council Cllr Michael Lee and the Mayor of Darwen Cllr Paul Browne have put their heads above the parapet to give Mr Molloy their unequivocal backing.

He himself has said that this will not stop him from being a magistrate;

“I am perfectly capable and will not give up my role as a magistrate.

“I was saying it how it is and how people will understand.

“It reflects how things are today, I forgot to be politically correct.”

There is now a Facebook group in support of Austin Molloy which surprisingly only has a few hundred members. You can check it out here.

What can we conclude from this debacle?

Firstly that we don’t have a judicial system that puts the wishes and views of the people first. This story is a prime example. If one PC obsessed fruitcake can, in the face of overwhelming adversity, achieve the instant removal of a magistrate and by all accounts pillar of society for saying something that was completely true and that the majority (yes, majority) of people would applaud him for, then I believe it brings the judicial system into disrepute. It doesn’t necessarily mean the system is institutionally PC, but it means that nit-picking PC slaves like Christine Dean are infesting it and are able to influence its outcome.

Secondly, and I have just touched on it, it demonstrates how much this politically correct scourge has infected our society. There were always do gooders, and in my youth we laughed at them. But now these do-gooders have evolved into fully blown PC-slaves whose voices are actually taken seriously in this new age of equality and human rights.

Lets hope that the enquiry finds that Mr Molloy did nothing wrong and allows him to return to his position as bench chairman. For some reason, I have a nagging feeling that it wont be quite that simple.

  1. The court clerk should lose her job. It is not her place to chide a magistrate but to guide him upon legal matters.

There are too many of these long-nosed viragos about and they need bringing down to reality.

    • Rome wasn’t built in a day! It’s taken Labour 13 years to mastermind this PC horror show and it’ll probably take just as long to unwind it.

    • This judge said…

“At the time of sentencing last year, the local press reported that Judge Trigger told the court: “Your case illustrates all too clearly the completely lax immigration policy that exists and has existed over recent years in this country.

“People like you, and there are literally hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people like you, come to these shores from foreign countries to avail themselves of the generous welfare benefits that exist here.”

      Never a truer word spoken….

Lets hope this New Government jump all over this!!

  5. Its time the magistrates stood up to the court clerks and reminded them they are there to advise and record not to sit in judgement. Recently a Blackpool magistrate did just that and also told a police constable that he was not a creditable witness and dismissed a case.

PC has gone too far. And those who support it should be dumped.

  6. It’s a disgusting case. In the case of the Jamaican, maybe you can say judges shouldn’t be political at all in their work and he did clearly make a political statement (albeit one that most people agree with).
However this magistrate merely said ordinary people would classify people who carried out such actions as absolute scum. And that is factually correct. The PC brigade need to be acquainted with a few truths and moral values rather than the very skewed look at life they have which views discrimination against one person as acceptable in the name of inequality and the moral viewpoint that one person shouldn’t be offended whilst another should.
As someone baptised in that cathedral I’d happily let them have a piece of my mind. And calling them absolute scum isn’t chatising them enough.

  7. I find myself annoyed at general PCness, but then find the accused’s crime almost heroic. I got to this sight via the David Icke one. Consequently, I find myself in subscription to the notion that orthodox religion is the ironic evil and therefore any vandalism to it is no problem. However, I take it that we, here, rail against ‘the principal’, yes? It could be fouling up any kind of property? Or have we deliberately forgotten the wickedness that the Churchywerch do and have always done? It is also interesting to note that both the PC brigade and the two 16 year old meatheads have, unwittingly, branded the correct type of slogans and outcomes with this ‘crime’ against religious property. Shame they aren’t aware of it. Or maybe they are. But, sticking with the ‘principal’ of the thing; yes, the kids should pay for their ‘damage for the sake of damage’.

    • The Church could be the devil himself and have committed endless heinous acts, but it still remains true that these boys committed a crime against a property.

It wasn’t an atheist crusade against the ideology of orthodox religion, it was merely common vandalism by boys lacking direction and discipline who happened to choose a church at their target.

They entered a building and caused damage estimated at £3,000. They should pay it back, take a punishment and move on. They are scum and the magistrate should not have had to suffer the indecency of being demoted because some chavtastic mother decided to get one back over the system that punished her precious little soldier.

By the way, to what David Icke website are you referring?

  8. Now I don’t agree with war, especially the most recent ones, but i would never deface a war memorial because, i am aware that to some people they are very special symbol I am not a Muslim but I would never deface or damage a Mosque, neither would I pull the flowers out of a memorial garden, or daub slogans on a synagogue. I would never do anything like that because regardless of what I believe, I respect people and their right to believe in what they want to. So yes, this was a crime against religious property, and it was a crime against the people of faith who prayed there and held it in special regard because of what it is

    • Exactly jimmy, it’s all about respect and these boys that committed the offences they were found guilty of are lacking it. As is the court clerk, though, for humiliating Mr Molloy (Malloy?) in front of the court.

Thankfully support for him far overwhelms any murmur that he might have done something wrong, and I await – indeed expect – an outcry if he is found guilty of whatever charges the judicial service are investigating.

  9. Following support from a 4300-strong Facebook group and a number of people like Jack Straw MP and Nick “Mr Loophole” Freeman, it appears Austin Molloy has been allowed to return to his position as chair of the bench.
