THE GUARDIAN is today reporting that in 2008/2009 Blackpool Council hosed over £140,000 on its website. This equates to 99p per resident, according to the report.

But this is small beer compared with Birmingham City Council who spent £2.8m on their website in the same period!

Ouch.

  1. Fylde spent just £3,500 or 5p per resident – but we also have Lancashite County Council costs as well to add to that who haven’t disclosed their costs. But whilst Fylde’s website can’t be called great – I’d say it was easier to find things on than Blackpool’s.
