Just thought I would let you know that the site continues to grow in popularity with a 32% increase in visits compared to last month and the visitor graph is smoothing out which suggests that more readers are coming back to the site!

In terms of actual numbers, there were 3095 visits to the site last month and a total of 12482 page views. There were 739 unique visitors, 21.2% of whom were new visitors. Average time spent on the site per user is just shy of 8 minutes.

25% of visitors were from Blackpool, 23% from London, 13.5% from Preston, 9.6% from Manchester, 5.5% from Leeds, 4.3% from Liverpool and the rest from all over the place.

I have noticed the most popular screen resolution is 1024 x 768 yet the site exceeds browser borders at this resolution – Oops! So, in the pipeline is a new fluid layout that will resize to your browser dimensions. Also, a third column will be appearing with one or two RSS feeds in it, and a Recent Comments section will appear too.

Once again I’m glad you continue to like the site and any constructive suggestions are welcome.

Those are some interesting figures, there are nearly as many visitors from London as locally. There’s no suggestions I can really make other than keep up the good work.

Congratulations Phil. Proves that people are interested in what really goes on in Blackpool and not what they read in the papers. I see a much subdued Harold is still with us. Although I must admit, unlike some people, I miss some of his flowery language. It did spice the site up a bit and is only what a lot of us out here feel anyway about the shower that makes decisions on our behalf.

Harold can get a bit OTT with his language sometimes and he admits that himself but if beyond the swearing he actually makes some excellent points and excellent comments much of what I completely agree with.

I haven’t banned him and I’ve not said you can’t swear, but saying people are paedophiles or comparing them to moors murderer Myra Hindley is beyond what is acceptable – unless you can prove that they are child sex offenders or murderers.

Also, publishing addresses and personal information – unless it’s public knowledge – is a no-no.

Lawlz you know what my constructive suggestion is :D
