True Blackpudlian

This week’s announcement of planning permission being granted to Tesco to open a store in Layton was met with fury by a small number of residents and traders but met with delight by plenty more, me for one.

Yesterday I was infuriated to see The Gasjet giving free publicity to smarmy Miliband brother Ed in his quest to become Liebour leader. I am sick to death of hearing about this tiresome soap opera called the Labour leadership contest.

There has been much publicity in recent days about the vile pondlife known as Wendy Lewis. Now infamously known as ‘Britain’s Most Disgusting Woman’ I still feel Harriet Harman is a strong contender for that one personally. She urinated on Blackpool’s war memorial The Cenotaph and even committed a sex act on it. Under the Labour Government (1997-2010) 13 of the worst years in decades, public sector non-jobs have multiplied by a ridiculous amount with equally outrageous pay and perks to go with it. It was reported on the news today that around 800 ‘top’ civil servants are earning over £150k, which is more than the rather modest £142k claimed by the PM. David Cameron is Prime Minister and love him or loathe him, he is charged with the very difficult and arduous task of running the country and cleaning up the mess left by 13 years of Labour incompetence. So it is only fair he receives a fair wage for doing so.

Today is the big day Blackpool face Cardiff at Wembley. Now I am not normally a football fan but I have to back the home team when they are doing so well.
