It’s a fairly automatic response from a far righter to suggest that we should “send ‘em all home” when questioned about asylum seekers. It seems the LibCon coalition agrees: £4m has been allocated for a new ‘reintegration centre’ to be constructed in Kabul which will receive failed Afghan asylum seekers that are under 18.

The heavily lobbied Digital Economy Bill, part of Gordon Brown’s Digital Britain strategy, has been powered through Parliament in the annual wash up. Perhaps it has been intentionally kept below the radar due to the immense opposition to it, although one could ask whether MPs even knew about it given the disgracefully low turnout.

It may not be the hub for much else at the moment but Britain is the world’s hub of libel tourism.

It always makes me laugh when I read stories about public sector job applicants, where people have said  you have to be a disabled, transgender, lesbian Muslim to stand a change of getting in. It’s one of those stories that’s so absurd, it’s probably true.

British Nuclear Fools

Blackpool South MP Gordon Marsden has been talking complete bollocks about climate change to pay lip service to his self interested, tax reaping Government cronies.

After a politically motivated visit to Blackpool Sixth Form’s “eco-council”, the well heeled Brighton based sausage jockey said that “a lot of people” in Blackpool want to see lots more legislation in the name of climate change. Students at the college have as expected been toeing the line, spewing out Labour rhetoric on behalf of Marsden.
