It’s been in the Gasjet but thought I’d let you know about a First Travel Solutions (part of the First group of travel companies) train they are putting on direct from Blackpool North, non-stop, to Wembley stadium for the playoff final. First reps are around Bloomfield road for the next few days whilst there are still queues for tickets.
In a world…of sterling blogging…
Ok, enough of that.
Mr. Euginedes has uncovered another “you couldn’t make it up” gem that will leave even the most open minded person facepalming.
We’ve all moaned about trains running (or not) on time, but workers at the aptly named ScotRail can’t even get their strikes to run on time. Even more amazing is the reason for the strike. Go on, let your mind wander a bit. What could it be this time?
Just thought I would bring you up to date with the latest progress, or lack of, in relation to Blackpool South railway station.
I’m certainly not a railway man by any stretch of the imagination but what I am is someone that doesn’t like watching Blackpool Council living in it’s Teflon-lined bubble doing whatever it likes with little regard to the damage to local services, infrastructure and it’s own reputation.
Everyone who’s ever had to book a rail ticket knows that the array of prices, tickets and criteria with which you may use them can be a massive source of confusion and in many cases great annoyance.
Just before New Years we were surprised by a gift of a trip to London to see Lloyd Webber’s perennial money spinner, Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat featuring Lee Mead – winner of the BBC’s talent show “I’m out of my depth on this show – Get me out of here!”. Everything was paid for: the travel, the accommodation, the show and as it happened most of the booze too.
